I already have one, but could not stand to see this uncommon engine in such sad shape. Striped it to bare metal except around the cab numbers being as there are no reproductions available. Worked out pretty well. While it looks like a lot of the engines that came with the 7" Nickel Plate sets, there are a number of differences that make it unique. This engine was actually sold with 4 wheel plastic cars. The correct tender would be a 4 wheel plastic NYC.

nice cosmetic rescue, not to mention the a very desirable double-reduction motor. being Marx, i'll offer a suggestion for an added touch of bling, to put a dab of gold/ bronze paint on the bell.
