#51781 - Omega 18ct Yellow Gold Officers Watch With Perfect, Original Enamel Dial Complete With Service Paperwork From Omega Year: 1921 Price: SOLD Shipping (Within UK): FREE Shipping (Worldwide): £12 Description Very rare and completely original gentleman's Omega Officers Watch from 1921 in 18ct yellow gold Dennison case. This watch is in 'museum condition' and would be a very special addition to someone's collection. The watch was last fully serviced by Omega in Switzerland at a cost of £940. This is not a pocketwatch conversion of any kind and was originally supplied as you see it now. Case Stunning, solid 18ct yellow gold hinged case is in truly mint condition and has not been worn since it was serviced by Omega in 2010. The previous keeper of this watch had asked for an increase to the lug width slightly but Omega had refused on the gournds that it would have altered/diminished the originality of the watch. Case bears serial number: 220xxx. Due to the outstanding condition of the watch overall, we also believe the winding crown is original. We compared it recently to a similar watch that went through auction and the crown was identical. Case dimensions are 35mm in diameter (not including crown), 12mm thick and 41mm lug to lug. Dial & Crystal Original, bright white enamel dial has no chips, hairlines or imperfections of any kind; it is perfect. Dial is signed 'Omega' with 'Swiss Made' at 6 o'clock beneath the sub-seconds dial and has black Roman Numerals with an outer minute track. Hands are original blued steel for the hours and minutes along with gilt sub-seconds hand. Plexiglas/acrylic crystal is brand new and completely free from scratches or marks. Bracelet/Strap We have fitted a brand new Hirsch 'Diamond Calf' braclet finished in black with complementing gold-filled buckle. This has a fixed-lug case and requires open-ended straps to be affixed. Movement Manual winding, Omega signed movement is again, in totally flawless condition.
