I've essentially lived here Sunday through Friday for most of this year, and I'm consistently impressed by the conscientiousness of the staff in striving to make you at home and comfortable in every way possible. Notable mentions include but are not limited to: Erin, Erica, Nermina, Joe, Rob and Derek.

With a super location, this hotel is exactly what you are looking for if you are doing business in downtown Hartford. An easy walk to everything, this is a clean, modern full service hotel with dependable staff with a friendly attitude. Not a 5-star but everything you need for a great, refreshing stay.

Pros: wonderful pillows, great shampoo/toiletry selection, prompt service and excellent food at Vivo (in-house restaurant)

Cons: not many, really - I did notice worn looking cabinetry in the bathroom. And the woman at the front desk gave me the wrong directions to where I was going (on foot!) which put me in a rather stressed mood for my meeting.

As someone who had travelled a long way, with lots of unexpected delays, including lost luggage, The Hartford was my saviour. Prompt, friendly service, nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to Molly in Customer Service, who gave me lots of empathy & sympathy when I needed it most. Sometimes when travelling away from home its not how great the room is or the view you have, but the people you deal with. Molly listened & lifted my spirits when I needed it the most. Thanks Molly you rock!!!!
