Shabbat Services:

Friday night services begin at a different time each week according to the time of sunset. Please check the homepage for the start time this week. Friday night services can be attended virtually through the Chapel Channel stream.

Shabbat morning service begins each Saturday at 9:15am and can be attended through the Sanctuary Channel stream.

Start times for Saturday Mincha and Maariv may also be found on the homepage and can be attended virtually through the Chapel Channel stream (unless you are trying to access a mincha bar/bat mitzvah, which will be on the Sanctuary Channel).

Halachic Viewing Instructions

It is important to our clergy and Spiritual Life Committee that the streams can be accessed on Shabbat in a way that is in accord with Jewish practice and the standards of the Conservative Movement. Below are instructions for accessing the streams according to those standards, which require access to the streams without touching your computer on Shabbat.

Bring up this webpage before Shabbat and the Chaggim and leave the StreamSpot viewer (above) on overnight. All you have to do is click on the triangle in the middle of the screen to activate the viewer before Shabbat or the holiday begins. The stream will disconnect after Shabbat.

If you would like to watch all of our services, start both streams before Shabbat and leave them open side by side on your desktop (you can use two browser windows to do this). Only one channel, the Chapel or Sanctuary Channel, will be active at any given time. So, the sounds and action should switch without your having to touch your computer.

If you are using this method, before Shabbat begins, you will need to set your computer or tablet to “stay awake” over Shabbat:

1. Make sure your device is plugged in, so it doesn’t lose power overnight.
2. Turn off automatic sleep mode, so that you don’t have to wake it up or re-enter a password.
3. For iPad, in Settings, under “Display and Brightness,” set Auto-Lock to “Never.”
4. For PC, see https://www.help.k12.com/s/article/How-to-Disable-a-Screensaver. If using Windows 10, the final step in this process is to select “None” under Screen Saver. You will also need to go to Power and Sleep in the settings and set Screen and Sleep to turn off after “Never.”
5. For Mac, in Control Panel, under “Desktop and Screen Saver,” change “Start After” to “Never.”

On holidays and on Shabbat, the live stream will begin just before services and run through the end of the service’s conclusion.

Siddurs (prayer books) are available at the upper entrance of the Shul for you to take (it’s our gift to you). There are also chumashim for you to borrow. Please sign those out and return them when you are able to visit us in person.

• Have a yahrzeit anniversary or other reason that you would like to be at a specific service
• Have a yahrzeit anniversary or other reason that you would like to participate via Zoom
• You would be willing to sign up for regular attendance on a specific weekday
